Service engine light question

I have a 2000 SS and just swapped a LS6 intake on it and now I have a service engine light and a service vehicle light because the EGR tube isnt hooked up to the intake anymore, I tried to plug it up and reset the computer, but the light is still on. Anyone know how to make it go away? Will it retard the timing if its on because of the emissions code? The car definitley runs way better, but I'm not sure if its loosing power from this light.

No your not losing power. If the SES light really bothers you, go have someone tune your computer.
