Security light came on while driving

So about 2 days ago, i was driving home from work. Then Security light came on........But car still ran fine.

Went home, shut down ignition (figured it wouldn't start again) but it started right up.......security light was out!

next morning way to work it came back on........caught a red light and it went out.........so i have noticed the only time it comes on is when the car is moving.......set still long enough and it goes out!!!!
The car does start and run

WTF? Anyone have any ideas? It does start and run fine....i drove a while with a TECH II watching parameters but didnt seem to be any Security/VATS info data in TECH II? Loose wires? Keylock in column?

Sometimes the light just comes on. It could be the key vibrated slightly out of place or the system got confused. If it only happens every now and again, dont worry about. If it starts to come on when you start the car or comes on and stays on all the time while driving, then its time for a new. Mine comes on every now and again, just one of those GM General Mistakes.

Update

Well i cleaned the resistor pellet with pencil eraser last night, and it didn't come on this morning on way to work! I did notice the pellet looks very worn.......thinking its time to get a couple new keys. Is this easy as just going to GM and getting a couple new ones?

Yep, go to any gm dealer. Due to the imbedded pellet resistor, the key will cost you around $18-$25.
