i am looking to buy a 2001 SS. i was wondering what the stock 1/4 mile times are and how many miles these engine typically last? any info is greatly appreciated.

The engine is great, I think the life expectancy is a matter of how hard you drive the car.

 

Life expectancy, im not sure, but I personally feel that over 130k miles may be pushing it, but I'm not sure.

Infinite miles with rebuilds of course, as any engine.

Quarter mile times, 12.9 1/4 is the best I've heard, but thats with drag radials.

13.1-13.3 seems average with good tires.


With horrible f'n tires, and a horrible launch, the worst I've ever done is 13.8 - so consider that the slowest with a M6.

Autos, I havent a clue.
