Rumbler is gonna get me in trouble.. HELP!

I'm in the Navy, stationed in Hawaii. I live on a pretty small base.. I'm friends with most of the base security guys, but residents have been complaining about my Rumbler. The thing is.. I can't complain.. I have to agree this thing is LOUD.

My question for you guys is: I'd like to put a muffler where the stock muffler should be. If I put a muffler there, should I leave the Rumbler bullet in place or have it removed.

I'm thinking of either the Hooker AeroChamber or Borla... Also would I see a performance decrease from this change?

Thanks for any responses!

You will see some decrease, but not a lot if you choose a good-flowing muffler. It will not even be enough to notice on the old butt-o-meter.If you are really worried about it then just get a good muffler and a cut-out for when you want to run.

I'm having the dual cutouts and power plates installed next week. So my last question is.. Do I leave the bullet and add a hooker or borla muffler since the bullet is supposed to prevent rasp. Or should I remove it?

I'd leave it if I were you.
Do you get on it alot on base in the housing area or what? I have dual cutouts that are usually open on base and I haven't had anyone say anything to me, but I have cats too and don't so that may be why.

I've decided how to cure the problem... I'm gonna keep the Rumbler.. Add in a Magnaflow stock replacement muffler and have my dual flowtech cutouts and mpp2 openers installed in the y.

I can deal with a bit of rasp coming through the Magnaflow, but coming out of the Rumbler is just plain annoying.

Thanks for the responses..

i have the loud mouth and was looking to change the tone a little. It sounds bad at 2500rpms. I have headers, ORY, and head work to though. But i was looking at an 03 c0bras exhaust and he was useing Borla Stinger 'Mufflers', actual little muffler with **** inside to muffle the air, they are about the same size as my resonater to so can weld it right on.
