Reseting ECU

I have done this (because my car felt a little sluggish [compared to other stock camaros i have driven] when i bought it at 17000 miles) And I know the car has to relearn all the timing and ignition tricks to get the maximum performance. I know i really reset it, because it took the car a few minutes to relearn how to idle after i started it up. It kept stalling out and reving on its own. Its cool now though. I just want to drive it hard so it will have the power it's supposed to have.

Has anyone reset their ECU and noticed a drop in power when they did it? Then did the power eventually come back? and how long did that take?
