Remove AIR from 1999 Z28
 

I recently removed the Air Hose from my 99 Z28 and Installed some block off plates on the headers. I got the hosing removed from behind the intake manifold but now I'm not sure how to remove the air pump. I tried searching but all I can find is info on LT1 Cars not LS1. So anybody know to remove the AIR Pump and everything so I can get it out of the car?

Don't have an LS1, but have the 1998 and 2000 factory manuals. They both show the same system, and indicate the AIR pump is bolted to a bracket on the drivers side front frame rail. Instructions appear fairly simple:

1 - Raise vehicle
2 - Remove driver's side lower closeout panel
3 - Remove hoses from pump
4 - Disconnect electrical connector from pump
5 - Disconnect electrical connector from bleed valve solenoid
6 - Remove 3 AIR pump bolts from mounting bracket
7 - Remove AIR pump.

Did you remove the AIR pump shutoff valve?
