Question on rear end.
 

Looking to buy this 2000 SS I found for sale 144k miles 100% stock besides the exhaust . After talking to the seller he tells me rear end makes a little noise so obviously it has a problem there. Should I pass on this car or should I take the chance with it and pay $ 4200 for it??????? It's in great shape all the way around just has high miles and rear end noise. Just wanna know if u should go for it or not???? Just don't want another problem car....All the help is much appreciated

is the 2000SS M6 or A4 ? 3 channel ABS or 4 channel ABS & TC ?
picking up a complete rearend to replace the existing one is an easy swap.
