Well i have had my QTP Long Tubes/ 3 inch y pipe/electric cutouts sitting in my house since christmas. I decided... today its gonna be 60 degrees... we are gonna do this. My buddy came down from west chester to help. I gotta say, header install is a piece of cake on our cars. passenger side... right in... driver side... lift the engine and take off the little k member brace, filter and that one just plops right in to. took maybe 3 hours to get the old stuff off and the headers all done. (my car has 13k on it so some things weren't so difficult since the car is so new). Now the y pipe is a completely different story... ITS ****. UTTER ****. I didn't even think about checking the stuff... i saw everything was there and checked the list when i got it but never thourghly inspected the y pipe. welding wire everywhere... the pipes themselves where horrible placed and welded.. It was so bad that my buddy trimmed over 1 inch of metal overlapping the exhaust flow... ridiculous. and the one cutout couldn't even be installed because the flange was welded on wrong. They gave me the wrong adapter to attach to my borla exhaust so i ended up ruining one of my borla pipes... 3 inch can not be installed on 3 inch (desperate times call for desperate measures lol.. The cutout wires that lead to the switch are probably about 40 feet long a piece... when only 3 feet is needed for each... where am i gonna stick this wire i have NO CLUE (can't be cut). So i am basically beside myself right now. The headers where the best quality headers I HAVE EVER SEEN, and the y pipe was... oh dear god terrible.

I have a miss now on number 5 cylinder. Think i ruined the plug when install the headers (didn't take em out because they are basically brand new). So looks like its gonna get a tune up anyway. I am gonna call qtp monday along with borla and get the new pipes cuz i need this thing done by next week end. Just ashame about the pipe. Hopefully we can get this resolved.
