Pacesetter Y Pipe?

Because I'm on a tight buget and they seem good value I plan on buying the Pacesetter headers. I do hear though that their Y-pipe is garbage that doesn't fit that well. Do I have to use the Pacesetter Y or can I use another good value Y pipe. I'm not going to bother with cats.
Any suggestions???
Thanks

Pacesetter headers are good. Their Y-Pipe is a load of garbage though. STAY AWAY FROM IT.

I'll second that. Stay away from the Pacesetter y-pipe. With that said, wanna buy one for cheap? Mine is coming off in a couple of weeks and being replaced with a custom catted y-pipe.

I understand they are poor fit/quality but do I have to get a custom Y made or is there another good value aftermarket one I can use instead?

I would guess that the Hooker y-pipe would fit the Pacesetter longtubes since the Pacesetters copy the Hooker design. Do a little research first.

I won the Pacesetter Y-Pipe Lottery.. Mine fits perfectly no banging, and the welds inside of the collector are pretty clean.

I plan to have it refabbed with a 3 or 4" Flowmaster Collector..

If you're on a budget, I would just compare the prices of a custom y-pipe and the Pacesetter and go from there..
