Pacesetter vs Flowtech

K..give me your opinions. Both priced well. IVe heard mixed reviews on both. Whats everyones take?
Were talking just headers here..not x-pipes....im talking sound difference, clearence difference, manufacture defects..etc

Re: Pacesetter vs Flowtech

i have some close up pics of my flowtechs on my page in the sig

fit was awesome, only had to remove 1/4" of block casting to get them in. no problems with clearance issues on the crossmember or anything.

welds were not pretty...but they worked...

coatiing looked great...we'll see how it holds up

sound and performance gains are going to be identical, they are basically the same header.

oh and word of wisdom, when you do headers, swap out your motor mounts to poly...

with the manifolds off, they are 100x easier to do, and will vitually eliminate problems with Ypipe clearance and header hitting things...

they make a great improvement

im really disapointed to hear the flowtechs dont come without air. i guess it really doesnt matter but just thought itd be a better look without that sticking there.

Also, it would be a great time to change the plugs. I just put my NGK 55's and MSD wires on today, and it SUCKED. I about gave up on cylinder # 8 or whatever's on the back passenger side it was so hard to get to, even with the coil packs off. I'm putting LT's on this winter, and will change plugs again, probably to the iridiums this time.
