Pace MAF
Pace MAF
Hey Guys,
Previous owner had a Pace MAF installed on my car, which has been giving me trouble for awhie (SES, running rich, etc,) After pulling the thing out for inspection I noticed that one of the MAF ends was busted. I bet that was my problem along with the fact that he had the 3 prong connector plugged in upside down (Which I've read can fry the MAF itself). Long story short I decided to put the stocker back in, and the car runs 10x better. My only worry is that the rubber seal/bellow that the Pace used to seal from the SLP lid is much wider in diameter than the stock MAF, so I just kinda made the stock MAF fit into the lid outlet. It's in there good enough that I know there is no air leaks but I was wondering if you guys think this is causing turbulence, etc. When using the stock MAF is it supposed to fit right into the end of the SLP lid. Never saw what it looked like stock because this guy didn't know what he was doing. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
