Next mod?
 

So what does everyone think my next mod should be. It will be reasonably priced (no more than $400-500ish) I am definately thinking about a SSRA. Also thinkin about new brakes and rotors. How much does it cost to set up an intake through the hood if I was to get an ss hood? Maybe headers and new y pipe or true dual exhaust dumping before the axle. Throttle body or new MAF sensor. <--heard this was a worthless mod. Anyway, open to ideas. Would like to get involved with cams and lifters but I think that would end up being too much of a headache. All suggestions welcome...thanks.

Are you into nitrous? You could probably get a small setup for that amount of money.:cool:

perventive maintence? Your car is now 5 years old.. wouldn't hurt to take a look over everything.. check various suspension joints, bushings, endlinks, etc to see if they are holding up right.. if you are still on stock shocks, I bet they are pretty much dead by now.. If you have an auburn, check how thats holding up... if you haven't looked at the brakes for a while, nows a good time to check..

4.10 gears. That will be a nice SOTP kick for your M6. Otherwise I would say the SSRA is a good choice. I have one and love it. SSRA and a pair of Nitto 555r Drag Ragials or the 4.10 gears with speedo correction.

Those would be my votes.

Headers. They seem like the next LOGICAL step considering what you have on it already. Take your time; build it up the right way. Credence also to the reply about checking suspension. SFC's wouldn't be a bad idea given the age of your Camaro.

NOS is too expensive to do it right :rolleyes: You can seriously mess up your engine if you do it wrong and you'd be out of a car!

What do SFCs do? Do they just add support and minimize vibration? Should I get headers or a TC?

Just ordered the SSRA.

What kind of intake could I get? I am eventually going to be purchasing a SS hood. I have asked the ? before but know one ever answers. Anyone out there know?

SFC's add rigidity to the frame and reduce body flex caused by the eingine's high torque. They are believed to help reduce the inevitable rattles caused by the accumulation of body flex over time that these cars incur due to their strong motors.

There are a handful of different types of SFC's: tubular, boxed, DD. And there is debate over which is better, the bolt-in kind or the weld-in kind. How dramatic a SFC you need seems to depend on a couple of factors: your driving style (mild-to-wild); and how much torque & hp your motor produces.
