Need a new battery...any suggestions on which is the best one?

Hi everyone....this is a pretty simple question but thought I'd get some free advice.

It's time for me to replace my original battery (2000 Z28) with a new one and I'm wondering what suggestions any of you may have for the best one...money isn't an issue...I just want the best one I can buy for the car.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Talking As I "charge" into this thread ...

Honestly, for the $'s it's hard to beat the Champion brand that Wal Mart sells.

We bought a battery a while back for our '75 GMC pickup - I used that one day to unsucessfully try to start a '79 RamCharger w/ a 360 by putting it in the truck. We must have cranked away for an 1/2 hour to an hour (intermittently, of course) - I put it back in the GMC & it clicked off right away.

Mopar starters seem to suck a lot of juice as opposed to a GM, too.

(At least the old whiney gear reduction ones did.)

So, the other day when I needed a battery for the SS, it was off to Wally World I went !!

$29.00 for the O.E.M. equivalent - not too shabby !!

Plus, they were open @ 10:00 P.M.

Auto Zone carries some good batteries as well.

Good Luck !

Britt
