Question Need help with buddies shift lite

Alright he bought a msd shift lite and what wire do i splice into on the computer to do it. It's a 2001 Trans Am. I tried ls1.com in the mods section and it says 98 ls1 only and i click on the 99 up thing and it doesn't go anywhere. And how did you guys splice into the wire. I was just going to cut it in two splice all three wires together. Any info would be appreciated. Oh and BTW did you guys run it down the door into the engine bay or did you drill a hole in the firewall.

On the 2001s the wire you want is the white (pin 10) one coming out of the red connector on the back of the pcm in the engine bay. Just use a simple wire tap to get your connection. To run the wire into the engine bay, pull out the computer and behind it you'll see a large rubber grommet that you can run the wires into the car.

I did just what he said ... wire tap into pin 10, pulled the PCM and ran through that grommet, then under the dash pad over to the driver's side A-Pillar defrost vent.

Look for their instructions for installing a Matt Harlan shift light.

You'll probably need to run it in 4 cylinder mode. At least that's what you need to do for the window switches.
