I have heard this from many people now saying that 01-02 LS1s SS and Firehawks came with the LS6 intake manifold. True or B/S?

yes they do. Many people who have earlier models of the LS1 usually get a Z06 intake anyway, but 01s and 02s indeed come with them.

Actually, any LS1 Camaro or Firebird, not just SS & Firehawks.

Easiest way to tell is no provision for EGR.

thats not all.. 01 and 02 models also got ZO6 clutch... some of us have the LS6 Block (better bay to bay breathing over LS1 Block).. interesting huh?
there are a few more but I just woke up and cant think of them yet..

Yeah, 01-02 z28, trans-am, formula, ws-6, SS, and firehawk came with the ls-6 intake manifold. Basically anything with an LS1 engine.

Why do people upgrade thier 01-02 F-bodies with Z06 cluthes when the car comes stock with it?

Same reason they dump $ on aftermarket MAFs and other crap mods. Its the "more money than brains syndrome."

I have not changed or added anything...except Sun Ultra 94 and
can keep up with the "Big Boys" cars...
