My car doesn't downshift!
 

When i hit 60 MPH, the car no longer downshifts for some reason. It still has some power, but no where near the "famous" LS1 high end i hear all about. I have 3.73's, but i wouldn't think it would cause the car not to downshift at 60.. What do you guys think the problem is?

Moving to LS1 Tech. You may want to check your tranny fluid level for starters.

Hmm strange, I'm sure you had to reprogram for the gears. If its not downshifting to second only third at the speed its probably normal because of the reporgramming for the gears.

Sounds like you get to enjoy the ever-so-frequent 4L60E rebuild :bow:

Dave, I rode in your car just yesterday, it's downshifting from 4th to 3rd just not 4th to 2nd. Your second gear with 3.73's is probably only good until 65 mph, thats why it's not going into second.

Should have stuck with 3.23s or 3.42s if you wanted to keep your highway punch I guess ;) :D
