misfires that don't set blinking SES light
misfires that don't set blinking SES light
i have a noticable misfire during acceleration, usually lower in the powerband. i've changed the plugs and the wires look fine. fuel filter has been changed. the misfire usually feels like a hit and then thats it, it'll miss or a few cylinders will miss and then all is good.
i have also noticed that sometimes the car takes a few extra revolutions before it starts.
what are the usual things to check in an LS1 for a misfire? on my old LT1 the first thing people always screamed was opti -- is there something similar to check with the LS1's for a misfire?

Re: misfires that don't set blinking SES light
i've had alot of problems with a pesky misfire too. and only 3 times out of dozens of incidences has it set a "blinking SES"
i think there is a misfire count that the computer records, if it reaches a certain number in a specific time...then it blinks...otherwise it just sets the light.
have you checked fuel pressure?
