A while back I descreened my maf, though I am not experiencing any problems and there does seem to be a difference, I was wondering if anyone has had any problems with this mod.

 

alot of people do experience problems with modified maf sensors. not so much from just the screen removal i don't think...more from the porting.

i have put ported and descreened sensors on both my 96 and now my 99z...and have had no problems.

 

I just installed ported MAF ends onto my stock GM MAF, and started experiencing some mild pinging, however it was 3 days before my dyno tune, so the tuning took care of it.
