LS7 Intake-Will it fit on LS1

So, will an LS7 intake work on a LS1 engine and would there be any gains worth while. I want to do a head and cam package soon and thought while at it might as well do and new intake also and found LS7 intake with fuel rails for under 400 dollars so if will bolt up seems like a good intake to feed a hungry engine combo. What are you thoughts everyone.

I believe the LS7 heads won't work on an ls1 either, because of the bore size in the LS1 is too small. need at least a 4.0 or something..

Won't fit.

By the way, I like the quote in your sig. The first day I had my car out after I did heads/cam/headers/stall all at once (through straight pipes), a kid working at a gas station says "sounds like it's running pretty rough" I started laughing... and told him that was the sound of 500hp. He seriously thought I had some major issues because of the sound of the 306 at idle.

No.

It will only fit on the rectangle port (Gen IV -- LS3, LS7, LS9, L92) heads not the cathedral-port (Gen III --- LS1, LS6, LS2) heads.

You have an 02 car, so you have the LS6 intake manifold. Keep it.

Or spend $1000+ on a F.A.S.T. Intake/TB setup.

It might fit, but the important parts won't line up.

Thanks for all the feedback. I thought there were major differences with the new LS series engines and you all just confirmed that. Can't wait to do a head and cam package and get some more power out of the car. Just has gotten to slow for me, especially after driving a new zo6. Not that the car is slow, just get used to it over time I guess. Thanks everyone.
