is it a worthwhile hp gain switchin from the stock ls1 intake to a ls6 intake on my 2000 ws6?

from what i've read/researched ls6 over a ls1 is 5-10hp stock and 10-15 if you add heads/cam package.

in a word...YES

2 words...HELL YES

do a search or pick up the GM high tech mag from last month...they tested it on a 400+ hp crate motor and it was less than 1hp behind the LSx intake (LSx had about 5 more pounds of torque). they saw 7hp i think out of it...

yup yup. i would actually prefer the ls6 intake manifold over the lsx. theres no way i could pay 900 bucks for the manifold when it got only like 1 more hp over the ls6. ill eventually get the ls6 when i get a cam though.

if youre planning on getting full boltons and/or a cam yes its a good mod.by itself theres better mods to go with.

Definately get one if you want to cam your car someday. I have a cam in my car with no tune and the stock intake and i put down 374rwhp/381ft lbs. With a LS6 intake and a good tune I think i would be closer to 390-400 rwhp.
