LS2 intake on a LS1

will it fit and how much modification is involved?

It will fit but, you would be better off with the LS6 you have. It flows better. Someone tested it, I thing on this site, with the LSX and found that the LSX had better peak power, LS6 was a bit better down low (on lower HP of course) and the LS2 was the worste of the 3.

It fits no problem, but isn't a ton better than the LS1 intake.

I'd get an LS6 on Ebay for around $300.

Um... it says in your sig you have an 05 C6... which already has an LS2 with an LS2 intake... Are you talking about another car?

No, an LS6 is better than an LS2 intake in most cases.
