Valves can't be adjusted. The stock valvetrain is non-adjustable. The head holds the spring seat, the valve seal, the spring, the retainer and then the lock. Mount up the rockers with the pushrods in place, torque 'em down, and that's it. You can use shims and different length pushrods to make adjustments to valvetrain geometry or have a machine shop do some custom work on the heads. But for stock components, that shouldn't be necessary.

He's probably referring to adjusting the rockers to get rid of that clattery "loose/sloppy rocker" noise? You know the one that every LS1 has ever since they're brand new???

Welcome to the LS1!! Great motors ... just a little too noisy from more places than just the exhaust?!!?

Let me guess you still have the tap/knock? I gave up on mine, changed my pushrods, idler pulley, plugs, wires and i have no exhaust leaks i hope it blows up so i can get a new engine

I've had mine since BRAND NEW, and it's had those "tap/rattle/knock/clatter" noises since DAY ONE . Now with over 105,000 km (~65k miles) and it still runs like a champ, I'm not too concerned about them any more .

Headers and catback are good for 30rwhp. If you want to save a couple hundred, a cutout instead of a catback is an alternative option.

Unless you also have a power adder, your car doesn't go 97.4 mph in the 1/8.

This must be a typo because I run low 7s in the 1/8 @ 96 mph
