Lightbulb LS1 fuel consumption

A matter of technical curiosity,

How many miles do an LS1 engine can travel for a liter of fuel??

Do all LS1s engine can travel the same distance for this much fuel??

Is there any difference in fuel consumption for these 3 F-bodies (SS, Z28 & T/A)?!!

No.

Fuel consumption will vary based on many factors. Your driving habits, the atmosphere where you drive, the quality of your gas, how many miles since your last oil change, the upkeep of your engine, what options you have installed, etc, etc.

A couple more factors are trans and gear ratio's. My a4 w/3.23's gets around 22mpg so I guess that would be about 5.5 miles/liter since a liter is almost equivalent to a quart.

Ok, atmosphare condition, but here in oman averages 28c - 36c what about it?

assuming all these 3 f-bodies are using the same type of fuel... in same rate and distances ...?

what if we include the weight of SS, Z28 & T/A (not same for sure!)..? and if all the same A4 (with same gear ratio) ,
any significant changes....

any database available, please

I think your looking way to indepth for that matter, all the m6 will probably be more efficient that the a4's. THe weight/aerodynamics will have no correlational effect.

... or at least not enough to matter.

all 3 stock from factory its pretty much the same. they dont vary enough to go into detail and hunt variables to do the math.

m6 will be more fuel efficient based on your driving habbits.

once moded its a diffrent equation all together..

im not in a gallons to liters converting type mood.. but ill let you do the math: i rag on my car bad and have a VERY heavy foot.. i get 17-22ish MPG HWY (avg spd 120mph) and a crappy 14-17 MPG city (what my car sees most of.. redlight to redlight :/ wanna race?

It depends on your driving habits but since 1 litre of gasoline = 0.2642 gallons of gasoline that means average city driving should yield you about 4.5 miles per litre (17mpg) and on the highway if you drive about 70-80 with the M6 should get you somewhere around 7.1 miles per litre (27 MPG)....hope that helps a little

That's not really true, as the weight and aerodynamics can make quite a difference (think car vs. Greyhound bus) but then again, there are WAY too many contributing factors towards the gas mileage, so when you think about it, even what you eat on any given day could have an effect.

On average I get between 350 - 400 kms per tank (220 - 250 miles per tank). I guess it works out to 7-8 kms/litre, but we don't really measure fuel mileage like that. Can someone who gets 220 - 250 miles per tank tell me what that is in MPG?? How about 310 miles/tank? Thx!
