Hey guys: I know very little about the nitty gritty of the Gen III. I am helping a buddy reassemble his LS1. What do you torque the mains to?

Inner bolts and outer bolts first pass: 15 lb/ft

Inner bolts final pass: additional 80 degrees
Outer bolts final pass: additional 53 degrees

Side bolts (cannot be reused): 18 lb/ft

Although, CZ28 search is working good; new owners of LS1tech have really fubar'd the search.

I used to go there for more "technical" ls1 stuff, but have actually been searching here more lately due to a working search engine.

Front main? Goto www.ls1howto.com and you might find something in the cam/head swap section... the front main i hand tighten, very tight.....I didnt use specs for that... only specs i paid attention to was the cam retainer, gears for cam, crank pully,heads, rockers and thats it.
