I have trouble from time to time with the low oil light coming on when the oil level is good,& by good I mean anywhere from 1/2 below fulll to full.I guess it's probably a sensor malfunction,but has anyone else ever had this problem ?

 

Might just need a new sensor, shouldn't come on unless you're about 2 quarts low. Screws into the passenger side of the pan, GM PN 12579985.
