Question Loud Mouth Exhaust Questions

What do you guys think about the loud mouth exhaust? I'm thinking about getting it, but have never even heard it! All I know is that its loud and inexpensive. I definitely don't want it to make my T/A sound like trash. Anyone have sound clips? What kind of gains do people usually pick up with it? Thanks

It lives up to its name, it is definitely loud. It sounds good around town and at WOT. On the freeway it will drone on you if you sit around 1800-2000rpm. I got mine for $150 off of the For Sale forum, look there first if you want one of these exhausts. You may even be able to pick one up locally if you look long enough.

Do you have any sound clips, or know where I can get some? I have the stock WS6 exhaust at the moment, so does the Loudmouth sound better than the stock WS6 exhaust?

Do a search on the internet. There are clips everywhere.

Go to LS1Info.com for sound clips of about each and every possible option.

Since my car is my daily drive, the Loudmouth is definetely way too loud for me. I am leaning more towards the Hooker myself...

Good luck!

My car is a daily driver as well, but is the loud mouth really that unbearable??

I didn't find it unbearble, even with headers. I guess I may be the exception though. I wanted to be able to hear my car, and it accomplishes this well. I never understood dumping money on a moderatly louder catback. I say go all out or stay home. JMO

I think its fine for my daily driver. I like a little 346ci exhaust music though. As long as you stay out of the "drone zone" it is just fine as far as cabin noise.

My wife doesn't even complain about it, if that tells you anything. In fact, she takes it to work once a week because she likes it.

I guess this is just my opinion, somebody else might find it completely horrid.

Since you have a stick, it won't be that bad since you'll be able to chose the rev's..

Driving and crusing around on a sunny day, I love how it sounds..

stuck in slow town traffic and such, I start getting tired of it.. especially sincei t sounds like I'm "racing" when I'm really not..

highway cruising is pretty docile actualy... until you hit about 80 mph in 6th, then you enter the drone zone.. but anything below that there is no overbearing drone.

I love how it sounds.. If I would do it again, I probabyl would do it again.. but eventually I might get another exhaust.

I definetely can not call it that since I have not been riding in one equipped with it, but at least from the outside it sounds a bit too much for me.

Have any of you used a Spintech exhaust system, or heard any Spintech LS1 exhaust soundclips? I'm finding that many people use a dynomax bullet muffler along with the SLP loudmouth exhaust. Have any of you done this, or have any soundclips of this combo?
