Lids on 2000+ vehicles
Lids on 2000+ vehicles
After installing the lid. What do you guys do with the long hose that use to plug into the original lid? And what does it do? I notice it seems to suck air for a few minutes after starting the car and then stops.
Thank you for the help.

SLP lids are the only ones with the provision for the AIR hose.
If you don't have and SLP lid, most people put a breather filter on the hose and ty-wrap it to the radiator support.
Personally, I didn't like the way that looked so I cut the AIR hose about 2 inches from the AIR pump and stuck the breather filter on it there. That way it is still sucking filtered air, but you don't have this fugly hose strapped where it doesn't belong and looking out of place.
