I'm running a stock clutch I believe, Goodyear F1 D3s (285/40/17) ....would like some input on launch RPM and how fast to roll my clutch. One holeshot I just lit the tires up ...the other time I lit the clutch.

I know that this is a lot of trial and error...but anyone with pointers (ie RPM)?

 

maybe a 2-3k launch at the most. I know a good rpm for auto launches is around 4k, and that manual launches need to be a little lower.

 

That's what I've been using....I still need a better clutch and some drag radials though...

 

how on earth are you getting a 4k rpm launch on an auto???? transbrake?

i would say it's right around 2000rpms for an M6

 

well 4k max, i'm sure it's lower without a trans brake. I usually do 2-3k, but i have street tires.
