Lightbulb Just a little tidbit on changing rear bulbs on Camaros.

I did not know this, but there are only 2 "bolts" ( plastic wingnuts) that secure the taillight assembly to the body.

When you go to reinstall the light, this allows for lots of play - you have to take your best guess at realigning the light in the hole it fits into.



Trick is, that if you put it in crockeyed the first time - like I did - and tighten the wing nut closest to the middle of the car - again, like I did - the lamp housing will dig into the plastic and take off some paint.


D' oh !!

So, now you guys know , too.

Thanks Newbie. I wasn't aware of that. I'll make a note of it.

Chevy has some weird things on their lights. Try and find in the owner's guide where it tells you how to change your front turning light bulbs... it doesn't. Pretty much says take it to dealer. Took me awhile to find that little flap under the bumper that gives you access...
