you can replace and go through the 10 bolt but it will be expensive and never as strong as a 12 bolt or 9" i personally am gonna go with a moser 12 bolt as my first real mos to my car.

For the ten bolt i have heard poeple spend around 1200 to 1600 to make it strong enough to run decent power. and the 12 bolt can go between 1800 semi used and 2900 depending on what you want to do moser is 2100 i believe

you can run as much power as you want to it, what will hurt it are the luanches. Once you start luanching at 4 grand to the rev, good bye 10 bolt.

They are fine until your 60's times get into the low 1.8 or lower range. The only time I broke one was in my old '97 Z28 spraying out of the hole on Mickeys. The first pass it cut a 1.77 60', and the second one never made it to the 60' timer Other than that I made 400+ passes at the dragstrip with the car running mid 13's N/A and mid 12's on the spray and never had any problems. My T/A is making 380rwhp and has yet to hurt it. Of course I don't race from a standing start very often anymore (curves are more fun and break less stuff).

The people that break them all the time have 4.10 gears. Stick with 3.42 or 3.73 gears, and add a TA cover and Torsen T2R posi if you want to make sure.
