I recently bought a 99 Z28 and I was wondering how much nitrous can it handle stock replacing the fuel pump of course.Thinking about the NX nitrous kit.

Re: How much can it handle?

I was running a TNT 150 wet shot on my '01 with no problem. Never got KR. I got 150HP out of it. I was still running the stock fuel pump. I have heard anything over 150 wet and 125 dry you should upgrade the pump. That also depends on other mods. I have heard of people running 200 shot with a better pump and no problems.

I think the fuel pump is fine for up to 500hp/tq... flywheel that is. Not 100% positive on this figure.

What's the difference between a wet and dry nitrous system?

a wet system taps off the fuel rails and runs a dedicated fuel line/solenoid thats injected WITH the nitrous. the nozzle in a wet kit goes somewhere AFTER the MAF sensor.

a dry system only injects nitrous alone. the nozzle has to be somewhere where the nitrous will pass through the MAF sensor before going into the motor. the MAF reads the nitrous as extra air and adjusts fuel accordingly right at the injectors.

dry kits are a little bit safer but wet kits make more efficient power.

IMO, wet kits are the safer of the two. However, if set up correctly, you shouldn't have any problem with a dry kit.
