Horsepower and a 6# Supercharger

I have a friend with a 99 Z with Exhust and an Intake Lid. He is running a 100 shot of NOS right now but wants to get a supercharger. Should he keep the NOS?? How much HP can he get out a 6#?

I would guess ABOUT 100 RWHP
He is going to need to strengthen a LOT of things, wich he should do with just the N2O. Clutch, drive shaft, rear end being the first things to go out. Im not sure how the stock internals will handle all that either, bent push rods, broken valve stems/springs, ect...

I agree.... For nitrous and/or a supercharger, there are alot of other mods that would have to be done, to do it right. You can't just slap'em on and go.... the car can't take it.....

but he is only going for 6 lbs. of boost, should be fine internally. about 100 rwhp sounds nice, add some long tubes and maybe a cam and those numbers will jump, as will your chance to put the stock 10 bolt in pieces. If you have an M6 or an auto with 3.23 then you have an aluminum driveshaft which whould hold up pretty good, i wouldn't be luanching high though. You can drive with all the stock components but the hardest part on it is luanching. I would keep the luanches low with stock drivetrain components.

you can launch high all youd like, but 2 things will come of that. either you will get sticky tires, get traction, and blow the rear to hell, or youll be on street tires and spin all day and all night. choose your poison.
