Question Holley powershot filter

Hi everyone, I just bought a whisper lid & holley filter from viper and the filter is a little dirty. I have a can of K&N oil & cleaner.Has anyone used the K&N cleaning kit to clean and re-oil a holley filter? Can it be used without damaging the holley filter?

Thanks

iT CAN BE USED BUT THE FILTER WILL RETAIN THE RED COLOR INSTEAD OF THE BLUE. YOU CAN BUY THE HOLLY STUFF FOR $10 OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT. CHECK THE VENDORS. THEY SELL IT

Thanks for your reply. So, in other words, what you are saying is that it can be used and ONLY difference is the color?

Thanks

Cool, That's what I wanted to know. Color is not a big deal to me too.

Exclamation

You may want to do a search on this. If my memory is correct I recall reading in a post here or at ls1.com that the holley oil is friendlier to the small wires on the maf sensor in terms of throwing the calibration off for a short period.
