Just wanted to let you guys know, since most of you said I wouldn't do it. But yeah, I broke into the 11s on all 3 runs at the track yesterday. I was fortunate enough to use a buddy's ET streets for traction, but still had my heavy-*** ZR1s up front. And I wasn't a tin-can either, for I was sitting at a 3440 raceweight.
My three runs:
............1st ......2nd .....3rd
RT..... .046.... .007... -.014
60'.......(0.00)...1.573...1.648
1/8......7.468...7.449...7.545
MPH....90.95...91.72...90.93
1/4....11.796..11.756..11.862
MPH...113.36..115.06..113.74
So yeah, my best was a 11.75 @ 115mph, with a 1.57 60'
Definately felt great to get down there, and to be running stock internals made it that much better. I even made the list for the Top 50 LS1 F-body's (Bolt-on), in which I'm currently at #32.
And for the record, a 1.57 60's felt like I was getting hit in the gut
Even popped a wheel Clicky
Well, just wanted to let you all know, and say thanks for all the guidance I've gotten. There's a lot of great info in this section, and I'm hoping to be there for any new guys that need some words of wisdom

So you have nothing else but the mods in your sig, and you're running 11's?!

I was thinkin the same thing. Great job, keep it up. Thats my goal for next fall. Gonna get new rims and fatter tires and some suspension this spring and torque converter in summer/fall if everything goes ok and maybe some gears. If ur sig is up to date i don't think it'll be too hard as long as i can get some traction.Originally Posted by Capn Pete

Yeah, my sig's up to date. The only thing not listed are the ET streets I used (because I borrowed them).
And thanks for all the congrats guys. I'd just like to say that for everyone that says to go cheap on everything, because "it's all the same," well, I went for quality stuff (QTP's, LSX, etc) and I got my money's worth
I just wish I coulda had my car tuned, and had some skinnies up front. No doubt I woulda had 11.6s, possibly 11.5s
It's also a shame I'm not staying on the East Coast anymore, because there's some great tracks here. If was still going to be out here, I think I'd take a crack at getting a little quicker while staying SI, maybe shoot for 11.3s. It's been done by a few people, and I've got a mentor that's done 11.21

Congrats! Damn thats impressive! Where you moving to?
I'm transfering to Whidbey Island (Seattle area). I haven't checked into the tracks yet out there, but I'm sure the air isn't as good as out here
Not to mention the elevation might suck.

and to think how many times I saw the BS flag when I told people how I've seen LS-1s with minimal mods (slicks, stall, full exhaust) going high 11's.

What was the track elevation and DA? Those are nice numbers for your mods. But I'll bet you had the help of some great air too.

Yeah, the air was great. The DA was about -1500.Originally Posted by AL SS590 M6

Sweet, man if I could catch some of that air I'd be 11.teens. My best of 11.43 was run at about +500Originally Posted by RS Dragster
