Exclamation High tens??????

As i said in an earlier post i just had s supercharger installed on my WS6. Along with the other work to the engine i pulled a slick viper eating 430 at the wheels on the dyno. The car is driven every day and runs like the first day i drove it. I was shooting for 11's but after talking to some people im thinking that on slicks i may be able to get into the high ten's. Any comments?????

Alright. I don't know what u consider an awesome 60' time but my best is a 1.78. That was a 12.1@110 before my supercharger and head work

Anything's possible

But we have a guy here with a 98 T/A M6 with H/C and SC putting out 530hp to the wheels his best is 11.8 @ +120's with a 1.8 60ft.

Another guy has a 00 Z-28 A4 bolt-on's, Yank 3500 and a TNT 150 shot not sure the HP.
But he's running 11.3's @ +120's with a 1.6 60ft.
He's trying for 10's next he's doing H/C.

I'd say depending on your weight you may cut a 11.3ish if you want to gut the car tens are possible but who wants a gutted ws6?

What are you calling slicks and what else have you done to your set up to enable traction??

Like I said in your other thread, all but one of the supercharged F-bods I've seen tend to run mostly in the mid 12s. They spin on the launch, they spin on the shifts and run 12.4 to 12.8 at 120mph+. Occasionally they get lucky and get a high to mid 11, but it's rare.

And if you do get traction, watch out. I was lined up next to a supercharged LT1, who hit a 1.4 60' put his front wheels 4-5' in the air, came down hard and limped to a 13.8.

You've got a lot of HP and it's going to hit the wheels a lot faster than a N/A car. Controlling that HP is going to be a challange. You're in for the ride of your life.

The only thing other than the slicks is the 4.11's. That is all i have done to the rear end. I am open to suggestions b/c i know the big thing is traction.

youre best bet would be the HD eaton posi. a spool is an option as well. however, now that i say all this, are you on a 9'' or 12-bolt?

your going to hate those gears with that s/c. You want like 3.73's or 3.42's. You wont notice a big jump in boost unless your in 3rd or 4th. why? 1st and 2nd gear will rap out too quick. Do you have a fuel pressure guage and a boost guage, if you don't and are in to racing those 2 guages will save your azz. Never realized it untill i rode in my friends 89 saleen, he has a 306 with a paxton on it and 4.10's. Anyways, if you watch his fuel pressure guage and boost guage, you notice that they don't throw large an impact until 3rd and 4th. Sure you will be faster than before, but i think it will help more with less gearing. Next you need to get a blower cam from thunder racing, that will help alot with your boost. tyburn motorsport had their z running high 10's with an intercooled vortec and full interior. But then agian they had a carbon fiber driveshaft, pretty much tubular front end, and all redone suspension and full exhuast. Your big concern is finding traction now. thats my problem i spin for at least a second when shifting from 1st to 2nd and it is screwing up my et's.

I orginally had 3.42's would it be a good idea to put them back in or get new ones. Also the current cam i am runnig is a comp 236,236,.538,.538, 114 lsa. Will that do if not, what cam from the company u suggested?
