Question Help with cutout ?

I read the sticky, but I got to tell you that I THINK that this post belongs here. THINK. Forgive me if I am wrong.

My husband's birthday is coming up. Woohoo! I want to do something for him and his car since he's been spending all his money on me. I need your help though. He has taught me a bit about cars, but not enough! First of all, what I want to get him is the button for his interior that makes the cutout go on or off-so that he doesn't have to crawl under the car everytime. He always takes his car to the dealer (certified and all), but is this something that the dealer does? Or do I have to find someone reputable (that's going to be REALLY hard-I am freaking a million miles away, deployed in the desert) mechanic to do it? Do I order the parts? And finally how much $$$ are we talking? Btw, he's got a 02 Z28.

Also-are there any other relatively cheep mods that I can help him with...this is his car:
"2002 Rally Red w/Black Stripes Z-28 A4, 3.23's, T-Tops, and the works.
40 Series Delta Flowmaster Muffler
K&N FIPK and cutout.

Thanks, and I really hope he doesn't read this!

Shana

Re: Help with cutout ?

well 1st you will have to find out the pipe size. Its normally in inch's.

Also in your discription of his car does he already have a cut out? Because if he does all you should need it the device that will open and close the cut out.

I'm not sure as to what kind you should get him but im sure someone will chime in. I think the company name is like DMN or something and it comes with a 4 year warrenty..? And as far as price i think there around 200.00$ with the for the whole thing.

BTW good luck I wish when i get a wife she does something like that for me haha

Re: Help with cutout ?

if he doesn't mind doing a little bit of wiring...like connecting 3 wires and routing them for the switch...than the electric cutout is a "do at home" project.

check out electric cutouts at:

www.quicktimeperformance.com

and a company called dmh but i dont know the website
