Help!!!
Hey guys, I was driving home from my buddys house tonight, and out of nowhere my car starts running like $HIT, it wouldnt rev and it started chugging. I've had the cam in my car for about a month, and i got it dyno tuned at APE, and it has been running great. A few days ago it starts running really rough when i would first start it when it was cold, it would surge really bad and then smooth out, i figured maybe it was the computer readjusting itself. So like I said, i'm driving home and its runnning like crap. I baby it to my subdivision, and the SES light comes on. I pull the code, and its the 0300, random multiple misfire. What the heck could it be?
plug wires appear to be fine. This came out of NOWHERE. I've put almost 1000 miles on the car since i did all the stuff to it, and its been fine. It ran better before I got it tuned than it does now. I ran and fired it up this morning and there it was chugging away. Could the MAF be dirty or something?
unplug the maf, if it runs fine like that than you know it is one of the sensors, probably the maf itself.
i had to do that with my old ZO6 maf that took a **** on me while driving.
unplugged it and it ran fine, swapped back to stock and everything was normal

Good idea! if it still runs like **** after the MAF is unplugged, is it most likel plugs and wires then?
EDIT: Tried that, unplugged it and it still ran like ***. What gives? Fouled plug maybe?

hmmmi guess that would be my next thing to check, make sure all the plugs are good, and check all the wires to make sure they are connected. where the wire "pops" onto the coils could be loose.
maybe wait till dark and look to see if you are getting any arching.
Ok so I'm changing my plugs, I got 2 of them out and theyre black. Thats bad right? I mean black black. The plugs themselves and the threads look new but the end thats actually in the cylinder is BLACK!
edit: 4 out now, all still black, slightly wet and smell strongly of gas. What gives?

You burnt and fused your O2 sensor wires.
No, I think my O2 sensor wires are ok. I fixed and found the problem. All the plugs on my drivers side were blackened and fouled. All the plugs on my passenger side were perfect, still looked almost new. I changed them all anyways, and while I was taking off the coil pack on the passenger side (its 100000x easier if you do this) I noticed the big white plug for it had came undone and almost barely in there, but it was plugged in enough to make them fire intermittently. Now, I know the bad plugs were on the opposite side BUT this mirrors something that had happened back in my LT1 days. Back when I put LT's on my 95, I burnt through a plug wire and didnt know it. The 95 started running like dookie, and I looked under the hood for a lightshow. To my suprise one of the primaries on my passenger side were glowing! They were Jet Hot coated too, and man it takes a LOT to make them glow! While poking around, checking wires, I found the plug wire directly OPPOSITE on the drivers side had been burned through, only I couldnt see it because I had those damn DEI heat sleeves. Hella good those did. Anyways, I replaced the plug wire, and the car was like new again, and the primary on the other side stopped glowing. Never had another problem with the car.
