Re: headers
do you have to pass visual inspection or just sniff test?
long tubes with high flow cats is the way to go if its only sniff test. stuck with shoties if not |
Re: headers
what are a good kind of long tube

Re: headers
QTP, Good ground clearance and You can get the high flow ones which are better. Gonna cost ya though. www.quicktimeperformance.com Probably they best ones out there.

Re: headers
WARNING!
Loudmouth + LT headers = loud, raspy and extra drone. Some like it but most do not. You'll also likely attract the attention of every cop in a 5 mile radius when you get on it. If you want to keep the loudmouth then I highly recommend you get HF cats to help quiet the setup down a bit and eat up some of the rasp. You may even want to consider swapping the resinator for a 18" bullet muffler. As for brands I agree with QTP. Kooks are also top of the line. As for bang for the buck budget headers then the newer pacesetters are a good value. Good luck |
Re: headers
Pacesetter or Flowtech makes good long tubes for the price. The Pacesetter Y pipe is a POS though from what many have said. You ought to get Texas Speed's catted Y pipe. Plus they're the cheapest right now for Pacesetter LT's.

Re: headers
QTP, Kooks & TPIS.
I'd recommend any of those. Only one's I've seen first hand though. Ground clearance is good as is build quality. -Mindgame |
Re: headers
where can I find kooks or tpis what exhaust would go good headers.

Re: headers
I have Dynatechs Long tubes on the 'bird. Great fit and good clearance. But they come real close to the oil plug on the pan. So close that I had to remove the magnet to shorten the plug to get it in and out.

Re: headers
I was looking at the Complete Header Kits with header cat and the y pipe that are coated. i found TPIS
Dynatech I want Long tubes is that any other good ones if so what ones and what web site are they on. |
Re: headers

Re: headers
Depending on your budget, I would recommend the FLP (Finish Line Performance) setup. You have the option of catalytic or offroad, everything is coated, easier install than most, and it's just a great system. I've helped many people install these, and everyone has been extremely pleased with them.
