Head replacement question

looking to replace my stock ls1 heads and use in combination with my forced induction system, Ive looked at gmpp heads and seem to keep focusing back on lq9 aluminum heads like on 2001+ 6.0 l escalades as they will drop compression for me opening up higher boost ranges or should i look at the aluminum version of the lq4 6.0 truck heads , ive heard the lq9 is comparable to the ls6 head with better intake and exhaust ports and a 72cc combustion chamber , any advise on lq9 vs lq4 .. lq4 seem to be about 400 each and lq9 about 700 each

thanks

The LQ9 heads are definitely the ones you want to go with. They have the D-shaped exhaust port like the LS6 heads do, for better flow. I beleive both the LQ4 and LQ9 have larger combustion chambers for lower compression.

If you can find the LQ9 heads for $700 each brand new, that is a great price, I'd pick em up!
