Arrow Gtech - Tazzo numbers....?????? What U got?

I have run with the Gtech meter and my buddy has the Tazzo , both measure your 1/4 mile speeds, very accurate I might add. We used them at the track and they both were within a tenth of a second accuracy.
My numbers are in my sig, what have you guys come up with...?

I ran a 13.8 at 107 MPH with a g-tech, and about 400 lbs. of extra passengers without me and a full tank of gas. That was about 3 months after i bought my Z and without the 4.10's. Can't remember my 60 but i had a bad luanch.

Totally worth buying, I used it at the track many times and it was right on within a few hundredths.01 of a second of what the track gave me (when I had my 94 Vette, I have not gone to the track yet in my SS). I picked mine up for $75 because my buddy was buying the newer Tazzo. The Gtech typically reads 5 mph high, don't know why, but that seems to be the general number. We ran the Tazzo and Gtech at the same time, they were very close to each other on every run. You can also do a HP reading with the Gtech and it gave me 331, which is incredibly close to what others have dynoed with my mods. So any other numbers, 0-60, 1/4 mile...???? Mine are in my sig.

These things measure using things that measure acceleration right? Why don't they make GPS meters. I would think those would be about as acurate as you could get.

I've used my getch at the track and the street, and the numbers have been very accurate. As mentioned, mph is higher by 4 mph or so.

I've never had good luck with the hp readings though - it's usually off for most people I talk to by 50-60 hp or so. Someone once made up a formula that was fairly accurate for converting the gtech dyno #'s into what you should get on the dyno.

btchslp, what fornula did you use? Or did you use one?

I didn't use any formula to calculate the HP. You are required to put in the running weight of the car + driver/passengers. I used 3750 lbs for me and a 150lb passenger and the result was 331 hp. This number seems incredibly accurate, although I haven't dynoed yet (I am in a few weeks) people with my year and mods are getting right around 325-335. In fact, GM High Tech Perfomance mag just put out an article in which they dynoed 335rwhp with an 01 TA with a lid, slp maf, BB cat back, and smooth bellows....note again 335rwhp. My mods are almost identical with maybe a few extra in my favor so if anything the gtech read low.

A GPS doesn't update fast enough for accurate 1/4 times, they update every second, hardly fast enough as compared to a Gtech meter or Tazzo that is in mili-seconds.

Plus using GPS would be alot more complited, would need an antenna like the XM radio, would have to update it, and would probably be alot more than 150 bucks.

G-TECHS READ WAY OFF ON THE 0-60 TIMES. 4.77 IS WAY TOO LOW. IT'S PROBABLY AROUND 5 FLAT.

It was 4.76 I ran 5 times and that was my best. But i was running consistant low 13's. It all depends on weather. It was real cold that night. When i run in the summer 13.5 is my best..
