For California Readers. Has anybody installed a GM E-ROD kit, essentially a complete LS3 package, into a 93-95 Camaro, almost all of which were OBD1 cars? Many of the hard parts from the 98-02 cars should make the install easy, front cross-member/motor mounts, hydraulic clutch parts and a re-configured T56. California requires using the kit parts only, to meet the bi-annual smog test, so I wonder if the kit exhaust manifolds clear the Camaro chassis. The target is a 430HP, absolutely street legal, track car. The suspension/brakes would be replaced with, essentially, A-Sedan parts, but retaining street legality. The 93-95 V6/5sp cars are getting pretty cheap and would make great donors, especially Hardtop/crank-window cars. ANy suggestions?
