getting hypertech today
Make sure your battery is in good shape, when I had one it took several minutes to load - you don't want to lose voltage in the middle of programming. I used one for gear swap/fans/50% shift firmness a few years ago - never tried the tune.
Granted the price is cheap, but that comes for a reason. The Hypertech is not good for much else other then gear ratio and thermostat changes. I would just hold off and either use the money towards a better programmer or a mail-order tune.
