Question Getting GMMG exhaust, question about tips

I'm going to order a GMMG exhaust, and was just wondering why anyone would buy the oval tips? Can't you just buy some Borla or Corsa tips and put them on the GMMG pipes? I mean, Borla and Corsa make the best looking tips IMO, so why would anyone go with $150 oval tips when they could get chrome or stainless quad tips that look ten times better? I hear people saying "I bought the Corsa exhaust because of the awesome looking tips". So why not just buy a GMMG and put Corsa tips on it? Do Borla and Corsa tips just not fit? I don't see how.

"I wouldnt"

"yup"

"cuz they either are still partial to the tips or their dumb?"

"maybe they didnt like the sound of the GMMG or maybe they cost about the same so didnt really care about the petty price difference...the tips should fit even if they require a little modification you could make them fit without a doubt."

This is whats great about this country you have the choice to do what you want with your car...some people spend too much money to do what they want but thats their option.

Hey, I take offense to that whole, "why would anyone buy those optional oval tips to put on their GMMG system."

Ummm...I happen to think they look GREAT in conjunction with the flat bumper of my Camaro(they blend in very nicely). And what exhaust tips someone likes is all about personal preference. Personally, I love the looks of the Borla tips, but don't see anything special about the shiny Corsa tips(which I happen to think look waaaaay too big on a Camaro). Remember, what looks good on a Camaro may not look good on a Firebird(or vice versa).

I've only seen the oval tips on the GMMGinc site, so maybe they look better in person. But IMO I don't think they're worth $150. Buy hey, GMMG is expensive. I think I'll go with some nice Borla square quad tips.

I think there tiips are alittle expensive but they look very nice on a t/a. other than that they come with regular slash cut tips. It is all personal preference.
