Gas

does everyone use 93 octane or 89 just wondering? I know people say that 89 will make the engine knock but wanted to know what everyone else is useing

i use premium, 91, only thing readily available at gas stations here, other than the 76's wicked 100 octane race gas, which is like 3 dollars per gallon

I run 94 octane. I would use that 100 octane if it was sold around here at gas stations....

Cars are required to run on 87 Octane at least as a federal rule...But you want 91 octane for sure, to prevent detonation..

I tried a tank of 91 in my 00 SS and it pinged when I stuck my foot in it. When back to Amoco 93.

I run 91 all the time cause its all you can get...There is no problems at all with it for me ar anyone else here that runs it.

I run 93 octane, and only 93 octane.

My 2001 Z28 had been a "demo" car (manager's wife drove it for 3 months) and they were using 87 octane for the first 3,000 miles. It had to have top end cleaner done 3 times, and even then it still ran like a dog. (fortunately for me, it got totalled out and insurance bought me a 2001 WS6)
