Question FTRA +lid Or Volant intake????????

I am going to need intake. I got exhaust and I also have short throw and 410 gears waiting to be installed. What do you guys think of these setups???? Also, with my combo, what should I put down to the wheels and run in the 1/4 if I am an ok driver????

Lid and FTRA is what I have and like.

At the wheels, with the Vig 2800 (robs a few hp) and the 410's (robs even mnore hp), and an A4, you'll probably pull 290-295 rwhp. Maybe less, maybe more (if lucky). Unless by exhaust you mean headers, et al... Then you'll be closer to 310-315. But dynos vary from shop to shop.

At the track, it will also depend if you got headers here. Traction is also going to be terrible with your combination. If you got GSCs, you'll be really selling yourself short. You'll need serious DRs. Anywhere from 12.2 to 12.9, depending on your full details (tires, headers, type of track..).

I was going to mention that.. Looks like most people dont read carefully and think you have those mods on your 99.. In any case, exhaust and lid with ftra... hmm I would say 13.2 is what you will see...

Take it to the track and find out..

Unless the "Ram air" is pressurized, it will never really show you much of a gain IMO.. Over the 1/4 mile there isnt enough speed and pressure to really show much of a gain is what I am thinking.

So just consider your car as having a lid and exhaust.. Keep the paper filter for the track if you just must have a cotton gauze filter.

I have been very happy with my Direct Flo lid and Fast Toys Ram Air...never any problems and consistent performance. I have a Ram VDS clutch (bronze metallic) and a Borla catback as my only other non-suspension mods. You can see my sig for times...I'm in no way an experienced driver.

Lol! Your sig sort of blends together, and although I read it several times, I definitely didn't notice it was two cars.

Sorry if I'm taking offense when I shouldn't be, but I hope that's not to be a dig on my response. I happen to read most sigs and questions very carefully. This one just happened to be a little confusing and it was late at night.

Also, sorry to post this, but I don't understand why some people point out useless drivel like that... (then again, this is useless drivel I'm typing right now... )
