What are you wanting to do with your engine? Are you specificly wanting to go to a longer stroke crank? Will you be using nitrous or a supercharger? Is it for a race car, a street/strip car, or just a street car? What rpm range are you planning for?

Id like to be able to take it to 6500 rpm and i might use a 100 shot but nothing extreme.

I would suggest Lunati Pro Mod rods and Diamond pistons. Both have been well proven and are resonably priced. I would use the stock crank as it is very strong. LS1 cranks just don't break unless you are way over what you are looking to build. A decent forged crank such as the Lunati is in the neighborhood of $1800. For your rpm concerns, use high quality valve springs, titanium retainers, and hardened pushrods if your car has a manual transmission. Also make sure that your cam is designed to make power in that rpm range.
