Car has STOCK heads.. STOCK LS1 intake.. STOCK pulley.. STOCK torque arm...Alan Futral mail order tune.
Only real mods are Lid, Headers + Duals. Cam.. 12 bolt.




11.65 @ 117.2 1.68 60' on ET streets.



HUGE PIC WARNING.

My car was left lane.. 03 Cobra on MT Drag Radials was on the right. It also ran very well for the mods, considering it claimed stock pulley.

 

Launch I believe was kind of weak. It spun until the 60' mark. And second was short shifted. I need a torque arm and need to work on the launch a bit.. I believe I can get low 1.6's out of it.

nice run. but that's not a TRUE cam only. TRUE cam only is just that. cam only. no other mods. completely stock and only added cam. but either way nice job.

 

How is the cam on the street? also, how much for it?

 

As someone posted on ls1tech thats ridden in my car, aside from lope its pretty much just like stock, with just a mail order tune.

Doesn't surge even down in the 1100-1200 range... pulls fine... runs good... and still gets great MPG.

What's that thing rev out to?? ~7000 RPM? 6500?

 

"cam only" means thats a cars only internal mod.i know of no cars that would add a cam and nothing else.



thats a strong running car.

 

lots of mustang guys throw a cam in before they do any other mods, I guess e series cams are easy to come by.

 

Congrats !! Sweet Video ,too. Now ,just get yourself a set of LS6 Heads or 5.3L heads and laydown some low 11's or high 10's

 

Do you have the 112 or 114 LSA version? Also, how much for the custom tune? And finally, is it REALLY streetable?

Extremely streetable, I am on a mail order tune, the only issue I have is low speed turning, > 5mph... car will try to surge and die.. nothing a dyno tune couldn't fix. I only have WOT tuning, through a mail order tune.

LS6 intake and pulley soon.

 

I think that logic is vague. I'd consider internal mods those which are inside the shortblock. If we agree on that level, then throw on a 233/239 nitrous cam, a 150 shot, ported heads, 90mm intake - and call it cam only.

its not my logic.at least in the ls1 world "cam only" refers to a cam as its lone internal mod.anything that oil touches is considered internal.


this can be argued all day but thats what that term means to some people.
