you judge........ who makes better headers? SLP or FLP

 

FLPs are actually Dynatechs, so just save some $$$ and get the Dynatechs. As far as quality, I would say they are about even..

 

certainly not slp. lots of people have issues with the slp headers...just check the search option on ls1.com to find that out. flp's will be much better. hookers are right up there as well!

 

They both have their pluses and minuses.

The SLP headers tend to be trickyer to install, hang low and are stainless steel - I believe - instead of ceramic coated. But, they have a lot of believers in that they produce they best power.

The FLPs ORP is a pain to fit/install ... mainly because it's a 5 piece jig saw puzzle. It's job done best by professionals and on a rack - not saying you can't do it in your driveway - but it will be a pain. Once it's set up though it,s nice to be able to swap between the cats and the race pipe.

Bottom line they're all over priced, about equal in fit, quality and performance. Do what I did ... keep an eye out and buy a used set and save yourself some cash ... I got a set of FLPs for $800
