Flowtech Headers=badass

Got flowtech headers and ypipe installed today. very good fit on both of them. power gain is awesome. only complaint is the flowmaster sounds like **** now, so i have to get a catback. no banging of the ypipe or burning of anything. I highly recommend all of you go out and order them. Any suggestions on a catback that will sound good with longtubes and ory? It sounds like *** as it is. like a sledge hammer in a tin can when you get on it.

If you are looking to spend a minimal amount I've heard good things about the Hooker and Magnaflow catbacks or if you are looking to spend a little more you could get a Borla or GMMG.

BTW How much were those flowtechs (coated or painted) and where did you get them. Also is the collector a flange type or slip on. Got any pics?

i got the Coated headers, ypipe, o2 extensions and simms for 600 shipped through Thunder Racing. i highly recommend them. no pics yet but ill probably get some. i dont really see the since in buying any other set based on price alone. why would you pay 625 for coated hookers, when you can get the whole exhaust system for that much with flowtechs? i set them side by side and they are basically the same. The welds arent as pretty, but i dont give a **** what they look like. the ypipe doesnt bang, and everything fits perfect.

the extensions come with the headers so dont worry about them, just make sure you pick up some O2 simulators so you dont trip the SES light. my flowmaster sounded good before the headers/ory too. but now it sounds like butt hole. ill be installing a catback soon but i havent decided which one. id hate to spend 3-400 and then find out it sounds bad too. anyone know which catback (cheap) sounds the best with LT's and an ORY? i was thinking of going the Dynomouth route but i dont know how that will sound.

you have 4 o2 sensors. a pair up front that checks the a/f ratio and a pair that sits behind the cats to make sure they're workin. you need the sims for the rear sensors. the bungs are for the front pair.

I really like my setup. Pacesetter coated LT headers, Y pipe, and Magnaflow catback. It sounds nice, and has very good performance.

hmmm, I want LTs but dont want to drop another 300 on a catback. Right now Im running the stock manifolds, and ORY and flowmaster 80 series with an open cut out. I think it sounds pretty damn good...Ill just have to experiment with them.

Hey what size collector do these have, im considering trying to do a true dual with it , but prob not, my dad tossed me the idea so why not get some info on it...and how long did it take you to do the Y and the LT's on ur SS...And i have a lift, which makes it alot more helpful...

Dr. Gas makes a nice x-pipe, but it's just the x if you want a complete system you would have to make it yourself or have it done locally. There may be a few that sell dual setups online, but I can't think of them right now. As far as I know the collectors are 3".
