exhaust questions for 01 SS

So the car (01 Camaro SS 6spd) is almost paid off and I have been working on a parts list. I have been looking at different exhaust setups and from what I have seen everyone seems to think long tube headers are the way to go, any thoughts? I found some from BBK that are considerably cheaper than most but am not really familiar with them. While I'm at it I want to do the rest of the exhaust and am wandering if there is any real advantage to a "true dual" over most of the factory style setups?

Pacesetter LTs and the Texas-Speed Tru-Dual setup.

How long have you had your headers? Haven't heard much good about them on some other setups. Bad fit and finish, low quality.

Great fit, great finish, good quality. Made 415rwhp cam-only using them and the tru-duals on my LS1 Z28.

Ditto what Kraest said, I'm running Pacesetter LT/ TSP True Duals with the bullets. Sound is amazing and performs great.

Midwest chassis makes a short torque arm mount that allows better clearance with the duals, in fact I think it's better now then when I had a Ypipe/GMMG.

I wish I would have started with this exhaust. Bought car with a flowmaster, then added headers/pacesetterY, then GMMG, added TSP Y to try to get rid of the god awful rasp, then finally went to the duals. Could have saved some coin if I skipped the other ones...

It's loud though. :) (But my neighbors say that it sounds much better and actually quieter at part throttle then the GMMG probably do to no rasp). Idle is earth shattering, not loud just deep, and WOT is well... insane. ;)
